Prospective MBA/Investment Students
We encourage prospective students to review the Program Information portion of the website and then contact Brian Hellmer with further questions about the ASAP.
Those candidates that meet the student profile are encouraged to apply to the program. Once an application is complete (including submitting GMAT score), a candidate in the US may be required to interview in-person. International candidates may be required to interview via videoconference using Skype.
We schedule several interview days throughout the recruiting season
(September through May) when candidates are afforded the opportunity to
experience a day or two in the ASAP. The application deadlines can be viewed
by clicking
here. The interview days follow the application deadlines:
| Application Due | ASAP Interview Dates | Decision Date | Enrollment Deposit Due |
|---|---|---|---|
| November 4, 2009 | December 16 | April 14 | |
| February 5, 2010 | March 13 | April 14 | |
| April 5, 2010 | May 5 | June 2 |
Additional dates may be planned. It is best to interview and visit the ASAP early during the recruiting season in order to experience a day at the school when classes are in session.
The Interview dates include the following events:
Day 1
- Interview with Mark Ready (Academic Director) & faculty
- One-on-one discussions with Brian Hellmer (Hawk Center Director) (you have already interviewed with Brian Hellmer before traveling to Madison)
- Lunch with interview group, Brian Hellmer, & other students
- Attend a traditional core or finance class
- Reception with guest investor (Day 1 or 2)
- Join MBA students for weekly Thursday evening "event"
Day 2
- Interview with Admissions Director, Erin Nickelsburg
- Campus tour
- Lunch with interview group and 1st & 2nd year students
- Attend ASAP Friday seminar or investor speaker series
- Reception with guest investor (Day 1 or 2)
Finalist international candidates who cannot make it to the two-day event are required to conduct a video interview using the Skype software.
Candidates are encouraged to apply early as spots in the program are limited. Also, financial aid resources (scholarships, project assistantships, and fellowships) are limited and determined by the middle of the recruiting season (the priority deadline for merit-based aid is April 1).
