Registration for Conference
Submission of Presentations
All conference attendees should register for the conference. The Society of Actuaries (SoA) has graciously agreed to administer the registration process. Please visit the SoA website for registration.
Registration. For regular conference attendees, the registration fee is $125 (US) (Late registration fee is $155). This fee includes meals (three lunches, two dinners and breaks), the option of presenting your work and miscellaneous items. Graduate students who are making poster presentations (or not making any presentations) may register for a reduced fee of $75 US (covering the cost of meals). Attendees may also register for one-day only for a reduced fee of $75, or without dinner, $40.
Optional Theatre Experience. After the conference concludes, on Saturday evening, we will sponsor a trip to the American Players’ Theatre (APT) in Spring Green, Wisconsin. APT provides an outdoor theatre experience in a beautiful wooded setting and is one of Wisconsin’s crown jewels. Although this is primarily a Shakespearean company, we will see “The Philanderer” by George Bernard Shaw.
We will provide a bus (it is a 55 minute drive to Spring Green) and dinner (but bring a dollar or two for beverages). The fee is $30 per person. Limited seating available. Please be aware that this will be a long event (probably going from about 4 pm until a return of about 10:30.) Moreover, the play rarely cancels in the event of rain – we will be unable to provide refunds for last minute cancellations. Nonetheless, if you will be staying in Madison on Saturday night, we recommend that you take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to get some world-class theatre in the hills of Wisconsin!
Presentation. Please send your title and abstract to Yunjie (Winnie) Sun, ysun@bus.wisc.edu. If you wish, you may also send her supporting materials such as the paper, poster, presentation and so forth. In an effort to communicate your research to conference participants, we will post anything that you send in on the conference web site. (Please note that the conference web site is not only for conference participants but is available for others to view.)
