Enterprise MBA Programs
A growing portfolio for working professionals
High-caliber MBA degrees tailored for working professionals are in significant demand. Historically, the Wisconsin School of Business has met this need by offering two highly regarded programs — the Wisconsin Evening MBA and the Wisconsin Executive MBA.
In 2008, a third degree program was added to the mix: the Wisconsin Executive MBA — The Manager’s Program. This onsite executive MBA is designed to be offered in conjunction with a corporate partner. The program launched in February 2008 with 37 students, all employees of the program’s initial partner company — Kohl’s, Inc. Students who successfully complete the program and work for their employer for at least two years following graduation will have 100 percent of their tuition reimbursed by the company.
Dramatic growth has been a hallmark of the Enterprise MBA programs over the last year, with campus enrollments increasing by roughly a third between academic years 2006-07 and 2007-08. Growth was achieved with no drop in quality of incoming students.
The recruiting season has shown continuing strong demands for our programs, in particular for the Evening MBA, where recruiting and admission numbers roughly doubled where they were one year ago. Four major quality initiatives to create value for students and corporate partners were launched and are ongoing.
Taken together, Enterprise MBA programs represent the largest graduate program area in the business school, with almost 300 students enrolled for fall 2008. They also represent an important source of program revenue to the business school. In 2007-08, Enterprise MBA program revenue totaled more than $4.7 million, with a net contribution of more than $2.6 million.
Equally important, our high-quality Enterprise MBA programs allow companies and organizations to maximize the potential of their human capital and play a key role in strengthening the region’s economic development.
