Few business schools can match the range and depth of real-world experience we offer students.
Applied Learning
At both the undergraduate and graduate level, our students gain hands-on experience through extensive in-class projects and internships.
Student Competitions
Case competitions require students to put what they've learned into practice in a tight time frame. Wisconsin students routinely stack up against the very best.

Application in the Classroom
- Students in the Applied Security Analysis Program are investing an additional $31 million in fixed-income funds on behalf of the University of Wisconsin System.
- Applied Corporate Finance students tackle real-world projects for leading companies such as Kraft, QUALCOMM and Medtronic on topics ranging from corporate valuation to alternative funding sources.
- Entrepreneurial Management students work with dozens of start-up companies each year and several have launched their own successful companies.
- Students in Brand and Product Management participate in an Applied Learning series. Top executives from leading consumer- products companies, such as Procter & Gamble, General Mills and S.C. Johnson, come to campus to put what students learn in the classroom into real-world perspective.
Executives Share Their Experience
Dozens of executives from leading firms shared their expertise with students this past year, by speaking in classes, working with student organizations, judging case competitions, providing site visits of their firms and many other interactions.
