Leadership Curriculum

There are many different opportunities for students to get involved with the Accenture Leadership Center. All of the opportunities are designed to allow students to devlop leadership skills and tactics to help differentiate themselves in the job market. The events also allow interactive, hands-on forums for students to network with their peers, as well as distinguished alumni and business professionals.

Bootcamp- LeaderShape

LeaderShape is an intensive six-day immersion session focused on leadership concepts and hands on learning. The session is offered every year prior to the beginning of fall semester. Students will gain skills and friends to last a lifetime.

Leadership Class

General Business 365- Leadership Development Seminar: Service Learning is a new class offering within the School of Business. Groups of students work on a project for the University of Wisconsin of broader Madison community. Experienced business practitioners serve as role models and instructors. GB 365 is offered during spring semester and students who have completed LeaderShape have the opportunity to act as "team leads."

Workshop and Speaker Series

Throughout the year the ALC puts on a variety of workshops and speaker events that provide students with the opportunity to learn and enhance their leadership skills. The workshops emphasize hands-on learning and an interactive atmosphere. Some previous examples include Networking 101, DiSC Assessments, and Understanding Your Leadership Style. The events are normally held at least once per month throughout the school year.

Case Competitions

The ALC offers information and assistance to students looking to test their knowledge in several different case competitions. The main competition is the ALC Case Competition. In this event, teams of four compete for the chance to represent the UW School of Business in the Big Ten Leadership Case Competition. Students are given a case and then time to develop solutions and present recommendations in front of a panel of judges.

Capstone Event

The capstone event is an end of the year event to celebrate students' leadership development. It is held at the Fluno Center and includes keynote speakers, leadership awards and a great opportunity to network and have FUN!
