Our Mission
Leadership can be taught. That is the premise of the new Accenture Leadership Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business.
The Accenture Leadership Center (ALC) provides top-notch opportunities for undergraduate students to develop leadership skills outside the classroom. The center, which opened September 2006, provides a unique laboratory atmosphere that allows students to practice leadership principles through hands-on learning activities and participating in projects.
The Accenture Leadership Center is premised on the belief that leadership does not require formal authority or personal charisma, that every person has the capacity to effectively lead with integrity and that this capacity can be developed over time through disciplined practice. The ultimate goal: Produce students who will graduate more inspired, more confident and with leadership skills that will benefit their future companies and communities.
The ALC serves pre-Business and Business students, with participation available to engineering undergraduate students. Enrollment is open to all undergraduate students in the two schools, regardless of major.
