Ethics Committee Work and the Accounting Statement of Values

Students in the IMACC program have taken the lead regarding ethical standards and goals for classmates; they understand that ethics matters.  The IMAcc program holds the development of a Statement of Values and adherence to the Statement as one of its core values. The reputation of the program, and all the participants in the program - whether current students or alumni - are hurt by lapses in ethical behavior by any one member.

Accounting students have the opportunity to enhance their ethical foundation thanks to the resources provided by PricewaterhouseCoopers.  PwC has sponsored funding for an ethics and professionalism program in the Department of Accounting.  With this generous support, the department is implementing a three year curriculum sequence of activities, which will enhance sensitivity to ethical and professional issues and provide students with opportunities to develop a sound ethical and professional orientation to current and future challenges they can expect to encounter in their careers.
