TA/PA
Students admitted to the IMAcc and GMAcc programs may be eligible for a TA or PA appointment . IMAccs are eligible during their graduate year. GMAccs are eligible during their second graduate year. The selection of TAs and PAs occurs in May of each year and the process is competitive. Approx. 50 total positions are available each year.
Selected TAs should mark
their calendars for the Teaching Improvement Program (TIP), scheduled
for August 29. 2008. The TIP program generally starts at
8:45AM and goes until 3:15PM with a lunch provided. This program is held
once a year for all TAs. A pamphlet outlining the program is included
in the employment contract mailing in the summer. Attendance at
the TIP is a condition of your employment. Both spring
and fall semester appointees are required to attend.
Also, be aware that specific assignment to AIS 100, 211 and 300 Fall
sections will likely be made during afternoon work sessions following
the TIP.
