The Wisconsin MBA

A Wisconsin School of Business program co-sponsored by the Initiative for Studies in Transformational Entrepreneurship (INSITE) and the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship.

This program has been designed to provide graduate Physical/Life Science, Engineering or Law students with an introduction to entrepreneurship and the tools, skills and issues faced in technology entrepreneurship.

WEB
focuses on three domains of technology entrepreneurship
WEB: ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Imagine, create and assess opportunities. (Using multiple lenses such as viable business models and intellectual property issues.) Develop resources for organization & strategy. (Form teams, seek funding). Use accounting and finance (As language and assessment tool).

As a WEB student you will work with case analyses, lectures, expert panels, specialized experimental exercises in financial and market assessments, and lively social events.
For all content areas, WEB offers specific opportunities to:
Develop the student's ability to use practical tools Deepen the student's conceptual ability to explore fundamental links between tech and business Broaden the student's factual knowledge about technology strategy and entrepreneurship.

You will not be able to return to an incomplete application, so before you begin you may find it helpful to prepare in advance your answers to the following questions:

1.  Current degree program

2.  Past degrees

3.  Your responsibilities in current job (if employed)

4.  Faculty sponsorship (while not required, it is beneficial if you have one)

5.  Prior business or entrepreneurial experiences

6.  Why you are interested in this program, how it fits your goals

Competitive admissions with limited seats.  Must be enrolled at UW-Madison.  Physical, Life Sciences, Engineering  or Law graduate students or post docs preferred.
