Connection with Industry Leaders
For more than 70 years, the Wisconsin School of Business ASRMI Department has maintained close ties with industry leaders, enriching the student experience in many ways. You will regularly interact with professionals who work in a variety of companies and roles.
- Each semester, both the Risk Management and Insurance Society (RMIS) and Actuarial Science Club invite industry experts to campus. These speakers share their wisdom and experience about current industry hot topics, career success and other topics of interest to students.
- The department also sponsors industry seminars and speakers at the Wisconsin School of Business. These events highlight the department's thought leadership and expose students to the insights of our industry partners.
- The Co-Curricular Learning Board (CCLB) generates outside of the classroom learning opportunities for our students. The CCLB hosts events that allow students to interact with professionals on a formal and informal basis.
- Students have opportunities to work on projects and complete internships, giving them a chance to apply their knowledge in a real-world setting.
- Identification of mentors who will help students prepare for their first job and support them throughout their career.
Interact with C-Level Leaders
It is not uncommon for industry thought leaders to gather at the Wisconsin School of Business.
For example, PartnerRe President and CEO Patrick Thiele gave a presentation during an April 2009 visit to campus. Click here to watch the Web cast archive.
